we came to EASTLANDS from MAINE ROAD

Our move from Maine Road to Eastlands has seen great success - Celebrate it with a song
MAN-CITY SONGS
We used to (and still do) sing ‘We are City Super City from Maine Road’ because this name came from CITY fans. We now need to establish a new identity that we can associate with to create new songs and chants matching our new elevated status in the Premier League and anywhere else the future takes us

Please let me have your comments by email and I will publish the results (if they are printable!!)

Is this the first MAN-CITY song to Include EASTLANDS?

I wrote the original version when we first moved from the old ground (as per the two audio versions on the left) with slightly different lyrics

'MAN-CITY BLUES' Tune: Boyzone ‘No Matter’ (at marching speed)

Chorus:
We came to EASTLANDS from MAINE ROAD
We had to make the move
And we all still love CITY
We are MAN-CITY BLUES

Why do we love you CITY
Why is it you we choose
There’s only one MAN-CITY
We are MAN-CITY BLUES

No matter where we follow
No matter win or lose
We’ll always love you CITY
We are MAN-CITY BLUES

Repeat chorus:
We came to EASTLANDS from MAINE ROAD
We had to make the move
And we all still love CITY
We are MAN-CITY BLUES

We could also change words to an existing songs
(Sailing):
We are CITY, SUPER CITY
Came to EASTLANDS from MAINE ROAD
We are CITY, MANCESTER CITY
Came to EASTLANDS from MAINE ROAD

(Hey Jude) :
Hey Blues, well were not bad
We came to EASTLANDS and we got better
We are CITY, the only Manchester team
Now we are winning and were getting better, better, better, better
Na, na, na, - na na na na - na na na na CITY
Na, na, na, - na na na na - na na na na CITY
Na, na, na, - na na na na - na na na na CITY
